| Customer Reviews: Pretty Decent Book January 21, 2010 HAS (Florida) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I found this to be a decent book on Australian Shepherds. I would say that it is geared for the person(s) who want to get some basic information on the breed. The book is really not meant for breeders, or people who have raised and trained dogs before, especially this breed of dog. I feel that the book is meant to give the new Aussie owner, a general introduction to this wonderful dog.
The training DVD is very elementary, and should not be viewed as a extensive training manual, but again, giving the dog owner some basic pointers on training, and health care of the dog. At least it puts you on the right track without making major errors in training your dog.
Pretty good book for beginners May 12, 2009 C. Molchin (Valparaiso, IN USA) This book has helpful info about the tendencies of Aussies. I would say though that it is more geared toward someone who has never had a dog before. It does not discuss any training other than the basics. The accompanying dvd is somewhat of a joke. Caveat Emptor!
