Cute and fun July 15, 2008 We bought this for a birthday present for a friend after she saw my daughters. She really likes it and so does my daughter.
It Does Have An Off Button!!!! April 8, 2008 This dog is adorable. Yes, when you first buy it you can not turn it off so it goes off every time it senses someone near. But that is easily navigated by putting it in a box so it can't sense anyone nearby. And it does have an off switch. I have a 3 yr old and a 6 yr old and they love loud toys. I'm okay with that, except when I can't turn them off. I once got this ball that made noise everytime there was a change in light or someone bumped it. I did not realize that it did not have an off switch at the time when I bought it and after the 2nd time of waking my daughter up at night it went in the garbage. But this toy has the adorable wine, a playful bark, and a quiet mode. My daughter loves it. She loves the Littles Pet Shop and was so disapointed when their plush did not interact. But the Rescue Pets look enough like them that she though they were the same thing. She sleeps with it every night, in quiet mode.
Somebody please make this thing be quiet! December 29, 2007 I recently gave this toy as a gift to a niece. I was not able to figure out how to make the thing be quiet!! Apparently, the packaging needs to be removed so that the item can be turned off. Unfortunately, I endured frequent whining in response to lights being turned on and other household activities prior to passing this along to my niece. I'm sure that my sister thanks me very much.
