Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Not what we expected   April 30, 2008
My son received a Rescue Pets "e-pet" for his birthday, which is approximately Beanie-baby sized and comes with a passcode so you can log into the e-pets website and share info with your friends who also have e-pets. He wanted to reciprocate, so when the girl who gave him this had her birthday, we ordered this item from Amazon. But this is not part of the e-pets line, so there is no way for her to share info on the web; also, this is a really large stuffed animal (about a foot high), and I'm sorry to say but the facial expressions on these things really creep me out. My son doesn't seem to notice, though.

So, it wasn't what we had intended to give his friend, though I hear that she likes it anyway. (They're both 8.) I wouldn't buy another one, though.

3 out of 5 stars Rescue Pets   March 10, 2008
This toy is very adorable and semi sturdy. It was bought for my 3 1/2 yr old daughter. She loved this toy when it was new, but lost interest in it very quickly. There is not really any educational value to this toy other than learning nurturing skills.

5 out of 5 stars college best friend   February 9, 2008
I bought 4 of these for my granddaughters that are in college and/or headed to college this fall. They all loved them. The puppy is so soft and adorable. The looks on peoples faces hearing puppy noises under the Christmas tree was a treasure. The response of the girls is also a treasure. The puppies are still going strong 7 weeks later.

4 out of 5 stars She thinks it's really, really cute...   January 18, 2008
In my 4 year old daughter's words:
"She's my favorite Rescue Pet. I like to play with her every day."

My daughter has owned this toy for a month and it is true - she really does play with it every day and sleeps with it most of the time. She actually rarely turns it on and usually only does so when showing it off to friends. She was disappointed at first that it wasn't the kind that had a passcode to play online. So, we ended up buying one of those as well (those kind of rescue pets are specifically called e-pets, by the way). We purchased this on sale & it was more than worth it as it is one of the toys she plays with the most.

4 out of 5 stars Puppies   December 29, 2007
I bought these for my daughters for Christmas and they loved them. The dogs whimper when they're sad and bark when they're happy. All I can say is thank God for the off button because the dogs can be annoying. But overall they are cute.
